RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA — The rumble of thousands of engines will once again echo off the walls of Riverside’s most storied landmarks this Memorial Day. West Coast Thunder Foundation officials confirmed today that the 2026 tribute will return to Historic Downtown Riverside, building on the momentum of last year’s successful expansion into the city’s cultural core.
This homecoming marks the second year of a strategic evolution for the event. By bringing the Memorial Day finish line into the heart of Riverside, the Foundation is able to integrate the tribute directly into the community it serves, fostering a deeper connection between the participants and the historic spirit of the city.
Elevated Logistics and Rider Support
Coordinating a massive motorcycle procession through a city center requires precision. To ensure a smooth experience for the thousands of riders expected on Monday, May 25, 2026, West Coast Thunder Foundation has deployed a parking team focused on ease of access.
“We have a dedicated team in place this year specifically to manage the transition from the road to the parking areas,” said Jackson Dodd, Executive Director of West Coast Thunder Foundation. “Riders will be met at the end of the parade route and directed straight into designated parking zones. We’ve prioritized making the arrival as seamless and stress-free as possible so our participants can focus on the day’s mission.”
A Historic Transformation
The downtown setting allows the event to utilize a living piece of Southern California history as its stage. The “Vendor Village” will sprawl across the historic district, featuring a curated selection of local artisans and gear manufacturers, while the Hangar 24 Beer Garden will serve as a central hub for refreshments and camaraderie.
“I absolutely love the backdrop of Historic Downtown Riverside,” Dodd said. “It provides a sense of dignity and history that perfectly complements our mission to honor our nation’s heroes. The architecture and the local business community provide a unique energy and a reverent atmosphere that really resonates with our riders and their families.”
Community Celebration and Tribute
Following the morning’s somber tribute at Riverside Harley-Davidson, the afternoon will transition to a powerful musical salute featuring The New Originals and Travis Humble of Heritage Harmonic. These performances are designed to honor the legacy of our fallen heroes, bridging the gap between morning reflection and a community-wide gathering dedicated to the American spirit they fought to protect.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, West Coast Thunder Foundation continues its mission as a benefactor for the Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee. By centering the event in the heart of the city, the Foundation aims to increase visibility for the cause while offering a premier destination for veterans, riders, and the Inland Empire community.
